Van Buren officials approved a request from Baldwinsville officials to use the town’s codes enforcement officer (CEO) to inspect a private school within the village. Using an intermunicipal agreement, the town will provide its CEO on an interim basis for those periods of time that the village’s CEO is unable to perform his duties due to leave, illness or other infirmity.
The school inspection is expected to take a couple of hours. Supervisor Claude Sykes said the town does not expect reimbursement for the shared services, but rather called the agreement “being a good neighbor.”
