Partnership will give patrons online and mobile access to free movies, music, ebooks and more
Cazenovia Public Library has announced the public availability of thousands of movies, television shows, music albums, eBooks, audiobooks and comics, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with hoopla digital (hoopladigital.com).
Library cardholders can now download the free hoopla digital mobile app to their Android or IOS devices or visithoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles — from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers — available to borrow 24/7 for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets and computers.
“We continually strive to serve our patrons in new and inventive ways,” said Betsy Kennedy, Cazenovia Public Library Director. “We are thrilled that our new relationship with hoopla digital will enable community members to enjoy reading, viewing and listening to materials in a modern way. Since the service is digital, there is no waiting period for popular titles; plus, hoopla’s automatic return means no late fees.”
Jeff Jankowski, founder and owner of hoopla digital, said his company’s mission is to “empower the evolution of public libraries while helping them to meet the needs of the mobile generation.”
