The Liverpool Public Library again is serving as a collection point for the annual Interreligious Food Consortium Drive. A donation barrel will be available in the LPL’s main room from Friday, Nov. 11 to Sunday, Nov. 20.
The IFC has served as an umbrella agency for food pantries and meal sites throughout Onondaga County since 1982. Food donations made during this drive will help feed people at more than 70 places in the county.
Donations should be non-perishable. There’s a need for tuna and tuna helper; macaroni and cheese dinner; peanut butter and jelly; canned fruit and vegetables; breakfast cereal and grits; canned meats, soups and juices; pasta and spaghetti; and pancake mix and syrup. No items in glass containers.
The organization’s site is at ifccny.org.
