Halloween isn’t just for little boos and ghouls. Canton Woods Senior Center is offering drive-up Halloween treats at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30. Seniors who wear a costume will be entered into a prize drawing.
“It’s a chance to get out of the house and see some of your friends that will be over there giving away candy,” Baldwinsville Mayor Dick Clarke said in his Oct. 21 video with Shelley Hoffman of Heart, Home and Community.
Mayor Clarke and his wife, Linda, are hosting a weekly “Down Memory Lane” Zoom chat for Baldwinsville seniors to reminisce about the good old days. Join the Down Memory Lane chat at 4 p.m. every Monday at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87158717101 (Meeting ID: 871 5871 7101, Passcode: 528651).
Also, Linda Clarke is once again selling calendars to benefit Canton Woods. The calendars, which feature local photo submissions of beautiful Baldwinsville scenes, cost $20 each. Pickup can be arranged Monday through Friday at Canton Woods, or you can have your calendar mailed for an additional $5. Mayor Clarke also reported Oct. 21 that renovations continue at Canton Woods. The floor has been replaced and work continues on the dividing wall in the dining room. The Baldwinsville Department of Public Works plans to paint the walls after brush pickup concludes and before snowplowing begins.
