As the early days of spring begin, the library is here to bring you the warm weather fun, even in the snow! Visit our online calendar at bville.lib.ny.us to register for our virtual programs and circulating garden kits that will jump start your spring.
Children’s Virtual Programs
Young Naturalists: 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 2. Volunteers will lead a lesson on an interesting nature topic, and give you some activities to try doing outside during the week. Sponsored by the CNY Chapter of the Izaak Walton League.
Facebook Live Storytime: Join Mrs. G and Miss. Jessi every Wednesday at 10 a.m. Each week will have songs, crafts, and stories.
Fun at Home: Rainbow Tambourines (March 4) and Paper Bunnies (March 18). Kits for these programs are available on a first come first serve basis starting on the days above. Video tutorials will be uploaded on our Facebook page. Stop by the children’s desk in the library to pick up your kit.
Teen Virtual Programs
Sign up by the deadlines below to reserve a kit for some of our teen programs.
DIY Mini Chalkboard: Wednesday, March 17. Kits will include a piece of wood, material to make an easel, chalkboard paint, and a paint brush.
Customized Glass Album Plaque: Wednesday, March 24. Make your own album glass plaque, popular on TikTok! Kits include a glass picture frame and an acrylic paint pen.
Mini Terrariums: Wednesday, March 31. Bring some greenery indoors! Kits include a mini terrarium, a succulent, potting soil, and more!
Adult Virtual Programs
Celtic Ceilidh: Sign up on our website and we will send you info on accessing the 2021 Baldwinsville Library Celtic Ceilidh. Visit the library’s YouTube page at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14.
At that time, we will run the video and you can comment and read other viewers’ comments during the first showing of our musical festivities.
If you are a performer who creates Irish music or dance, you can record yourself and send the recording to [email protected] and we’ll consider adding it to our 2021 Celtic Ceilidh Online.
Circulating Kits
Let’s Leap into the Dirt! Plant seeds and the love for gardening with this kit. Donated by the Women’s Garden Club of Baldwinsville, the kits come with everything needed to begin this year’s blooms. Kit circulates and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
