Take Your Child to the Library Day
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3
Statistics have shown that children who have a love of reading do well in school throughout their lives. This will be a perfect day to sign your child up for his or her first library card. All children signing up for a card will also receive a prize!
To celebrate the day we will have a scavenger hunt and crafts from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Children’s Area as well as special guests from the Seven Acres Alpaca Farm. Summer Dawn and Midnight Blue will be in the Community Room from 1 to 3 p.m. Come meet these two beautiful girls and their handlers. Children can make a nesting ball for the birds with fleece donated by the alpacas of Seven Acres.
Craft Supply Swap
Noon Saturday, Feb. 3
Crafters and artisans bring their surplus supplies to swap out for other supplies or to donate to other crafters and artisans. Got beads, yarn, fabric, patterns, paint, rubber stamps, pinecones, wax or any item a crafter might use? Bring it in and swap it out while enjoying refreshments and social engagement with fellow creators!
