An author, a puppeteer and an interior designer walk into a library…
We’re not kidding! Those are just a few of the free special events planned at the Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) during spring break, the week of April 17 to 22.
Younger children will enjoy “The Three Billy Goats Gruff” and “The Three Little Pigs” puppet shows, as well as the animated movies “Sing” and “Moana;” and the entire family will be enthralled with Wade the Magician as he entertains all with a comedy and magic show!
Tweens and teens can get hands-on during NOPL Brewerton’s “Book Art” program, and aspiring tween bakers and cooks won’t want to miss “MasterChef for Kids” and “Tween Time – Cupcake Wars.”
Special events for adults are planned at all three NOPL locations throughout the week too.
At NOPL Cicero, journalist, author, and local storyteller Sean Kirst will visit NOPL Cicero to talk about his new book, “The Soul of Central New York.”
Interior designer and home organization expert Carrie Luteran will present a spring-cleaning workshop at NOPL Brewerton that will focus on de-cluttering and setting up storage systems.
Over at NOPL North Syracuse, Cynthia Baxter will speak on the topic “The History of Arab-Israeli Conflict.” Baxter has extensive firsthand knowledge and experience of Middle Eastern politics, culture and values, accompanied by an impressive international resume.
Space is limited for these events, so we strongly recommend registering in advance. To sign up, find dates, times, and locations for programs, view additional events, or sign up, visit nopl.org/events or call us at (315) 676-7484 (Brewerton), (315) 699-2032 (Cicero), (315) 458-6184 (North Syracuse).
