Maybell Iris Woodcock Dana, 87, of Cazenovia, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016. She was born in Seneca Falls, a daughter to the late Philip and Violet Woodcock. Maybell grew up in Fayette before moving to Cazenovia where she graduated from Cazenovia High School in 1947. She retired in 1989 as a clerk with Syracuse Supply Company. Maybell was a member of the Cazenovia Swingers square dance group and she enjoyed quilting, knitting and sewing.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gordon who died March 29, 1984.
She is survived by her children, Philip (Pat) Dana of Floyd, Mary (Malcolm) Williams of New Woodstock and Jean (David) Melton of Vienna; her longtime companion, Henry Zehr of Lowville; a sister, Louise Ward of Ocala, FL; seven grandchildren, Tammy, Philip, Jennifer, Scot, Josh, Felicia and Cole; four great grandchildren, Dustin, C.J., Isaac and Maverick as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Cazenovia. Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Dana may be made to a local charity of one’s choice.
