BALDWINSVILLE — After a year in O’Reilly’s Plaza in the village of Baldwinsville, artisan home décor shop Orange and Olive is moving to a new home.
Fear not, O&O fans: The new location is just across the parking lot next to Village Ace Hardware. The space previously was occupied by the B’ville Smoke Shop.
Owners Nichole and Chris Pistello explained the move in a video on Orange and Olive’s Facebook page. O&O opened in its new location March 1.
“It’s a lot bigger than our space is now. We’re going to have a huge amount of showroom space,” Nichole Pistello said, adding that the previous storefront measured about 300 square feet.
Chris Pistello said the new location easily doubles the retail and workshop space. There is ample space both indoors and outdoors for classes and other events.
In addition to the Pistellos’ own creations — rehabbed furniture, handmade décor items and jewelry — Orange and Olive sells products from local artisans such as Clean Slate Farm, The Savvy She Shed and Honeybee Designs.
“The concept of the store is the community makes great things and you don’t have to go to a big box store to find great stuff,” Chris Pistello said. “They’re very unique, one-of-a-kind things and that’s what draws people.”
The Pistellos named their business after their five-times-great-grandparents and operated out of their home for several years before moving to O’Reilly’s Plaza in March 2021.
Orange and Olive’s new storefront is located at 39 ½ E. Genesee St. in Baldwinsville. To learn more, visit orange-and-olive.com or facebook.com/OrangeAndOliveDesigns/.
