Friday morning, in the wake of the tragedy that struck in nice, Rep. John Katko releases the following statement on the events that took place.
Following the deadly terrorist attack in Nice, my heart goes out to all of the victims, their families, the first responders, and the people of France during this incredibly difficult time. We stand in solidarity with our ally, France, and must unite to prevent these horrific attacks. As Chair of the House Homeland Security Committee’s Task Force on Combating Foreign Fighter Travel, I recognize that there is more we must do to counter terrorism both at home and abroad and I am committed to continuing my efforts to do so in Congress.”
