This week’s Liverpool High School Senior of the Week is a varsity athlete with a talent for academics and a sense of humor.
Alex Hung is a member of the National Honor Society and Varsity Club. He’s captain of the varsity crew team, and he’s on the varsity basketball team. He’s also the recipient of an academic letter and pin who lists his favorite fruit as watermelon and “wants to give a shoutout to The Bunker.” He enjoys sports, NBA2K, sneakers and sock collecting. A trumpet player, his favorite class is calculus.
Alex volunteers at the VA, as well as at basketball clinics for Liverpool. He plans to go to RIT in the fall, where he will study civil engineering. He hopes to be successful at what he does and “make enough money to live life the way it’s supposed to be lived.”
Alex credits several people with having had an influence on his life.
“My parents, Patty and James Hung, set high standards and goals for me to achieve in school,” he said. “I’ve had great coaches, too — Matthew Jacob for basketball and Larry Lazlo for crew.”
