The Dec. 3 Community Holiday event held at the Aspen House was a huge success, according to Lori McCarthy, director of community programs and events at the facility.
Attendees donated items for more than 80 bags to be given to Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. In addition, Samantha Tanguaya held her birthday party during the event and asked her guests to buy gifts for the sick children staying at Golisano rather than purchasing a birthday gift for her.
“A huge thank you to the Radisson Community for their very generous donations and to Renee Piraino for allowing us to use her Stampin’ Up! Winter stamps to decorate the bags,” McCarthy said, adding a thank you to Tanguaya for her generosity. “The kids had a great time making these bags, [which] were nicely decorated and they will surely bring a smile to all of the children who receive them.”
McCarthy also thanked volunteers that helped with the set-up, clean-up and bag assembly.
