The Town of Van Buren Highway Department will host a fall tire and metal day from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday Oct. 2 at the Highway Department, 7855 West Dead Creek Road in Van Buren.
“It’s been a great help to citizens to have this,” said Highway Superintendent Ed Parks.
Residents can dispose of regular-sized tires (limit of 25 per household) for $1 each, large tires for $5 each, TVs for $10 and refrigerators for $10 (no need to remove freon). Computers, metals and anything electrical will be accepted at no cost.
