NOPL News: Children’s author to read at NOPL

By Michelle Waltos

The Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) is pleased to host Mylisa Larsen, author of the children’s picture book “How to Put Your Parents to Bed,” at 6:30 p.m. June 14 during a special PJ Storytime at the North Syracuse branch, 100 Trolley Barn Lane.

“How to Put Your Parents to Bed” is Larsen’s debut, telling a clever and funny story of role reversal. The book details a little girl’s nightly struggle to get her parents ready for bedtime. Putting parents to bed is no easy task after all — they will try to do laundry, check their email, watch TV… anything to get out of going to bed!

The author will read her book aloud to children and a craft activity will follow. Children are invited to come in their pajamas and bring a favorite stuffed animal.

PJ Storytime is recommended for children ages 2 to 5. Registration is required for this special event as space is limited.  You can sign up by visiting nopl.org/Larsen or by calling 458-6184.
