TOWN OF MANLIUS – Despite a wet start, Greater Manlius Chamber of Commerce completed the fourth annual Henry McIntosh Memorial Golf Tournament on Aug. 22 at the Cavalry Club.
Named in honor of the former Fayetteville mayor and longtime supporter of the chamber of commerce, the tournament was delayed for about an hour by heavy rains.
Once the course dried out, the outing held many opportunities for the golfers to win prizes. First place went to the team of Tom Northardt (Captain) Amit Nate, Brandon Crandall, and Tom Ferrara, who carded a score of 14-under in the captain and crew format. Other contests included a putting contest with a chance to win a $5,000 purse and a chance to win a car with a hole-in-one. There also was the usual longest drive and closest to the pin for men and women.
The tournament was planned by Cavalry Club General Manager Jim Fields, who is also the chamber president, Judy Dardzinski of Worldlink Travel, and their committee of chamber volunteers.
