Manlius to hold Fourth of July celebration

The Village of Manlius will be holding its Fourth of July celebration from 4 to 10 p.m. today.

The Independence Day parade through the village begins at 5 p.m., and the fireworks start at dusk.

The celebration will include food trucks and a chicken barbecue until dusk with appearances from musical act Downbeat Percussion at 6 p.m., character entertainment company Royal Promise Productions also at 6 p.m., Twin Magicians at 6:30 p.m., and Letizia & The Z Band at 7 p.m.

People can also dress up themselves and their pup in patriotic apparel for the parade. They would have to line up to march at St. Ann’s Church at 104 Academy Street by 4:30 p.m.

A judging ceremony with the awarding of prizes for best-dressed person and pet will take place at 6 p.m.
