To the editor:
I am pleased to have been chosen earlier this year to serve as your Lysander Town Clerk. It is a privilege and an honor to serve our residents and provide the best possible public service from the town clerk’s office. I take my responsibilities serving the people of our community very seriously. I’m proud to say that I am a member of such a wonderful community. My children attend the Baldwinsville public schools. My daughter is in fifth grade at McNamara, and my son is in seventh grade at Ray Middle School.
I have several years of municipal experience, which I believe is essential in a position such as town clerk. Prior to becoming your town clerk, I worked at the Town of Salina Justice Court, and also worked as the assistant to Town of Salina Supervisor, where I worked with town residents on a daily basis and helped them with various issues. At the state government level, I was a Constituent Service Representative for Sen. John DeFrancisco, where I worked with the public on a daily basis. As a liaison between the senator’s office and various state agencies, I was able to help many residents who sought assistance when they otherwise had nowhere to turn. I have over a decade of experience in the legal field, and earned my bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and my master’s degree from Le Moyne College.
As your town clerk, I will continue to make the office more accessible to all residents by taking appointments for marriage licenses, passport applications and handicapped permits after hours. The town clerk’s office will continue to be a “one stop” shop for those in need of services. I have also expanded our office hours for those who work during the day. All of these services are still available to you and much more, while at the same time reducing our staffing levels, making our office much more efficient and saving the taxpayers money. I believe that this commitment to serving our community uniquely qualifies me for election to the position of town clerk.
It is my promise that I will strive to continue to serve the residents of Lysander in a positive and effective way. Throughout my public service career, and working with the community, I have always dedicated myself to helping the residents of our community.
As we look forward to the future of our great town, I ask for your support on Election Day so that I may continue to serve as your town clerk. In turn, I pledge to you that I will maintain an innovative approach to better public service and I will continue to strive to make the Lysander Town Clerk’s Office the first place to come for your essential municipal needs.
