On Monday, Oct. 17, the Baldwinsville Central School District will host a community forum on the growing heroin and opiate epidemic in the area as well as around the country. The forum will be presented from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Word of Life, 12 Oneida St., in the village of Baldwinsville.
The district has partnered with the Baldwinsville Police Department, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department and local agencies to develop the presentation.
Featured speakers will be Chief Michael Lefancheck of the Baldwinsville Police Department, Deanna Axe, a CNY mother of a young woman who lost her life to a heroin overdose, Assistant District Attorney Jeff Schiano and representatives from Syracuse Behavioral Health.
