As the first Liverpool High School graduating class to participate in Senior Walks at their former elementary and middle schools, the LHS Class of 2016 wanted to add their own twist to the new tradition.
While their class has completed its time in the Liverpool Central School District, a new class of students will soon begin its own journey. To recognize this, the LHS Class of 2016 used money it raised throughout the school year to purchase Liverpool T-shirts for incoming kindergarten students.
LHS Senior Class Advisor Alan Pascale said the T-shirts were designed with the help of Syracuse-based company Holy Shirt. The LHS Warrior appears on the front of the navy blue shirt with “Class of 2029” written underneath. On the back its reads “The Future Begins with Us.”
The hope is that kindergarten students will have the chance to wear the T-shirts throughout the school year, especially when the LHS Class of 2017 visits its former school buildings for next year’s Senior Walks.
