Hilda M. Planck, 97, of Cazenovia, passed away Friday, Oct. 1, 2021. She was born Dec. 18, 1923, in the town of Nelson to Floyd and June Woodcock. Hilda was a homemaker and a school bus driver with the Cazenovia Central School District for 25 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 119 and the Cornell Club. Hilda enjoyed knitting, spending time with her grandchildren, baking and was well known for her delicious creampuffs. She and her husband spent many years camping throughout the country. Going for walks and being a dedicated New York Yankees fan were also her favorite pass times.
Hilda is survived by her children, Forrest (Carol) Planck of Middleburg, FL., and Brenda (Robert) Turner of Liverpool; four grandchildren, Fayne Planck, Rick (Rachel) Turner, Lisa (Ed) Devereaux and Michelle (John) Alexander; nine great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Planck and her siblings, Howard, Harley, Homer, Harrison, Helen, Hazel, Harriet and Hetty.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
