The Salina Town Board voted 3-0 to approve the 2020 budget at its Nov. 12 meeting. (Town Councilors Jim Magnarelli and Mike Del Vecchio were absent.) The budget includes revenue changes due to Salina joining the New York Cooperative Liquid Assets Securities System (NYCLASS) local government investment pool, accommodates increases in personnel costs imposed by collective bargaining units and contains a tax decrease for homeowners outside the village of Liverpool. Inside the village, a taxpayer whose home is assessed at $100,000 can expect to pay $3.35 more in 2020. To see the full budget, visit salina.ny.us/content/town-budget.
