This morning around 10 a.m. a man entered the M&T Bank at 7095 Manlius Center Road in East Syracuse, demanded money from the teller via a note and left with cash, Manlius police said.
The Town of DeWitt Police Department then located the suspect’s vehicle with the help of information from bank employees and other witnesses before stopping it on Route 81 north at the Interstate 481 ramp with assistance from the City of Syracuse Police Department and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect, identified as Carson Arnold Jr., 44, was taken into custody without incident and later charged with robbery in the third degree and petit larceny.
Arnold reportedly frequents the Fayetteville-Manlius area and has a post office box in Oswego.
No one at the bank was injured during the robbery, no threats of violence were made and no weapons were displayed according to police.
