MADISON COUNTY —
Cazenovia Police Department
Notice:
The Cazenovia Police Department would like to remind everyone to lock their vehicles and avoid leaving their keys inside their vehicles.
On Wednesday, July 14, two vehicles were stolen from Cazenovia residences, one from Lincklaen St and another from Syosset Dr.
According to Chief of Police Michael Hayes, the New York State Police took over both cases after the stolen truck was discovered abandoned in Lafayette.
“They ran the plates, found out it came from Cazenovia, and then they came out and investigated,” Hayes said. “So now the state police out of Lafayette have the case.”
Hayes also reported that when they were stolen, both vehicles were unlocked with the keys inside.
According to the police department, property was recently taken from several other vehicles in Cazenovia.
Found:
Earbuds in a leather pouch and a jack hammer. Contact the Cazenovia Police Department at 315-655-3276 to claim.
