Police respond to bomb threat in DeWitt

On Dec. 11, 2019 at about 11:30 a.m., the DeWitt Police Department responded to an address on Campuswood Drive in the Town of DeWitt for a reported bomb threat, according to Chief of Police John Anton.

The building was evacuated and the DeWitt Police Department, with the assistance of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, searched the building for any possible threats.

Once the search was complete and the building was determined to be safe, the occupants of the building were cleared to re-enter.   

This is an ongoing investigation.
