The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office reports that one of the men accused in the death of a 23-year-old Syracuse University student has been charged again.
Sheriff’s Detectives charged Cameron Isaac, 23, of 460 South Main St., North Syracuse, with tampering with a witness in the fourth degree.
Isaac is accused of communicating with a witness relative to the Sept. 30 homicide of Xiaopeng Yuan, a Syracuse University student who was shot during a drug robbery outside the Springfield Garden Apartments in DeWitt. Isaac along with another man, Ninimbe Mitchell, 20, of 916 Willis Ave, Syracuse, were both recently charged with murder in connection with Yuan’s death.
Isaac was arraigned on his new charge yesterday afternoon in the City of Syracuse Court before Judge Vanessa Bogan, who set bail at $25,000 cash/bond. Isaac and Mitchell continue to remain held in the Justice Center without bail relative to the homicide
