Brian’s Landing recently started up a second location, this time in the heart of Jamesville.
The restaurant overlooking the water at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville opened in 2018, and now with the grand opening of Brian’s Landing in the Ville on Thursday, Feb. 20, the restaurant is increasing its footprint.
The Jamesville restaurant and bar has already garnered attention.
“We had people lined up at the door when we opened, so that was exciting,” Jacyln Tesori, the general manager of Brian’s Landing in the Ville, said.
The Jamesville location sits at 6533 E. Seneca Turnpike, the spot of the former Notch 8 Cafe, which closed last summer.
The menu at Brian’s Landing in the Ville overlaps for the most part with that of the Green Lakes establishment, but chef Kevin Brown has added some entrees unique to the new environment, such as pork belly and the gluten-free, vegan-friendly cauliflower steak.
Some Italian-themed crossover meals include the chicken riggies and Bella Luna greens.
Renovations started for the second Brian’s Landing around the time the restaurant’s owners Brian and Renee Bruno purchased the building in January.
Local artisans helped with design work and lighting fixtures, and televisions were added in the tavern area so patrons can watch sporting events.
“It’s just a really cozy atmosphere,” Tesori said.
For its weekly special on Mondays, Brian’s Landing in the Ville provides a gourmet burger with a choice of draft beer or cider, all for $16.
Like its Green Lakes precursor, the Jamesville location provides a deal including two entrees and a bottle of house wine for $40 on Wednesday evenings.
The restaurant, which holds about 100 people at a time with mostly indoor seating, serves slow-roasted prime rib every Saturday as well.
The assortment of specialty drinks includes espresso martinis.
“Our bartenders have all been doing this a while, so they’re really good at mixing up drinks,” Tesori said. “They can pretty much make anything.”
Music will be performed live on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.
The TJ Sacco Band has been scheduled to play from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 6.
Ashley Rose & Stephen Phillips will perform during brunch hours from 12 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 8.
Brian’s Landing in the Ville will stay open year-round, a change of pace from the Green Lakes location’s seasonal dining.
The around-the-calendar operation allows for staff members to stay employed while the Green Lakes location closes down for the winter.
The Brian’s Landing in Jamesville is currently looking for applicants who can fulfill roles such as hostessing, serving and dishwashing.
