On Saturday, June 17 a little boy named Lennox and his sisters, Brandi and Christina stole the hearts of the members of the Skaneateles Cares Car Club,
The car club held its third event of the year with a road rally to Ithaca and the Cornell campus.
The cool cars and drivers gathered at the Skaneateles Country Club and were joined by a special family who shared their heartbreaking yet inspiring story.
The Skaneateles Cares Car Club (SC3) was formed in 2022 to join the love of cars, and the love of children.
The car club holds events which allow their members to enjoy the passion for their cars while raising money for children in need.
The goal is to raise $1 million over the next five years for Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital and other children’s charities.
SC3 made its first donation of $10,000.00 to Golisano at the June 17 event.
Lennox is 3 years old, but has spent as much of his young life in the hospital, as out.
He was born prematurely at only 23 weeks.
His mom, Siobhan, shared the medical battles Lennox fights every day which result in unending visits to Golisano.
The family is grateful for all the healthcare providers, and the services Golisano offers.
The contributions SC3 will make to Golisano will help make those trips to the hospital a little more comfortable for patients like Lennox, and their families.
The premier event for the Car Club this summer will be a car show on the shores of Skaneateles Lake on Aug. 19, with a rain date of Aug. 20.
According to organizers, the show will feature vehicles from your great grandparents era to advanced super cars. Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Bugattis are just a few of the exquisite vehicles that will be on display alongside our pristine Skaneateles Lake.
If you have a vehicle you would like considered for the SC3 Car Show, and would like to join our mission of uplifting children like Lennox, fill out an application on the SC3 website at skancares.com.

The group looks forward to sharing their cars and their mission.
