CAMILLUS — Witty Wicks Candles & Gift Shop, a locally owned gift store specializing in all-natural soy candles and unique gifts and home products, has announced a shopping event for local parents to come together on the first day of school.
The store hosted Moms on the Grind on Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The event was catered to parents who are sending their kids off to their first day of school. Witty Wicks partnered with Rise & Grind Cafe, located next to Witty Wicks in Township 5.
Anyone who came to Witty Wicks with proof of purchase of a coffee or other beverage from Rise & Grind Cafe received a 10% discount storewide at Witty Wicks.
“Our store has deep roots in our community, and that’s why we love to host these events for our customers,” said Aubry Panek, owner of Witty Wicks. “Some parents are thrilled for this day, and some will be in tears. We wanted to give our local moms a reason to bond with other parents over coffee and great shopping.”
In addition to the promotional discount offered through the partnership with Rise & Grind Cafe, attendees will had opportunity to enter a raffle to win a custom seasonal gift basket valued at $100.
Customers also had the option to enter the raffle through the store’s Facebook page and Instagram account.
Witty Wicks has recently debuted new candle scents for the fall season, as well as Halloween gifts and apparel.
The store also offers a line of Vera Bradley bags and accessories, Pura Vida jewelry and Syracuse-themed gift boxes and home decor.
Witty Wicks is located in Township 5 at 190 Township Blvd., Suite 20. The store is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
