On March 15, at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College 50 candidates for citizenship from 28 countries were welcomed to the United States during a naturalization ceremony. The Honorable Glenn T. Suddaby, U.S. Chief Judge, presided over the ceremony. The countries where candidates for citizenship are from includes: Afghanistan, Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burma, Cameroon, China, Congo (Kinsasha), Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Iran, Irag, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Somalia, South Korea, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, and Vietnam.
