Fairmount Community Library is pleased to announce that in addition to our extended virtual programming we will be offering free monthly homeschool curriculums for families in grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades. Packets can be picked up curb-side. Families must register online for this program by visiting the library calendar at fairmountlibrary.org. The library will also host a weekly Preschool program on the FCL Facebook Group “FCL Early Literacy Corner” every Monday at 9:30 am. All links can be found at fairmountlibrary.org/children.

The second discussion in our mini-series is entitled, “The Abolition of Racialized Voting Qualifications.” The discussion is facilitated by librarian and historian, Chris Arnold.
Saturday, October 10 at 3:00 PM Art with the Everson: The Mixed-Up Chameleon Kids 6-10 years of age are invited to join a Museum Educator for an afternoon of art-making at home, via Zoom. This event is inspired by the children’s book, The Mixed-Up Chameleon. With step by step guidance, children will make and decorate their very own chameleon using air dry clay. Space is limited. Saturday, October 31 at 10:30 AM Syracuse’s Symphoria Presents: Beethoven’s Ghost. 15 Lucky families will have the chance to attend this virtual children’s concert. On the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s death, he returns to present day to see how children are enjoying his music. Register online at fairmountlibrary.org.
