The Cicero Police Benevolent Association will host its 3rd Annual Emergency Services Family & Friends Clambake from 1 to 5 p.m. this Sunday, June 9, 2019, at The Spinning Wheel Restaurant, 7384 Thompson Road in North Syracuse.
The public is invited to attend. Money raised from the event will support the Cicero police union’s efforts to give back to the community. Presale tickets to the Cicero PBA fundraiser cost $50 for anyone 16 years and older, or $60 at the door. Children 5-15 pay $10, and anyone younger than 5 is free.
Admission includes an all-you-can-eat, steamed mahogany clams, raw clams, fried clams, New England clam chowder, golden roasted chicken, Gianelli Italian sausage (with fried peppers and onions), hot dogs, hamburgers, tossed salad, pasta salad, baked beans, salt potatoes, sweet corn, relish tray, watermelon, strawberry shortcake and ice cream, plus draft beer, soda, coffee and hot tea.
Country modern rock group Dirtroad Ruckus will perform live music throughout the event. Children also can play on a bounce house for free.
Anyone who wants to sit in the dunk tank chair is invited to do so. It costs $1 per ball, or $5 for 3 balls to throw at the person sitting in the dunk tank chair. Weather permitting, guests can pay $30 to enjoy a helicopter ride over the Cicero/North Syracuse area. There also will be 50/50 raffles and door prizes.
Surf City Family Fun Center will donate 20% of its sales during the clambake (1-5 p.m. on June 9) to the Cicero PBA. Surf City is located at 7380 Thompson Road, next door to The Spinning Wheel Restaurant. Guests will be able to go back-and-forth throughout the event to enjoy this family-friendly event.
Last year’s clambake fundraiser attracted more than 350 people, including first responders, citizens and business people throughout Central New York.
The Cicero PBA hopes even more families and businesses will come out this Sunday to support the cause and all first responders.
“We hope anyone and everyone who wants to strengthen the relationships and/or bond between businesses, civilians and all first responders comes out to support us,” said a statement from the Cicero PBA.
