Friends of the Marcellus Free Library Meeting, Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. The Friends will host their annual Christmas luncheon. If your last name begins with A through L, bring hor d’oeuvres and M through Z please bring a dessert. The Friends will be decorating the Library for the Holiday season. Come and join the fun! Also, the Friends will be conducting their Annual “Books in Gift Giving Condition” for your holiday shopping. They will have a variety of used books to choose from. Sale begins in the library lobby on Nov. 15 at 4 p.m.
Marcellus Free Library Holiday Open House, Friday, Nov. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. An evening celebration at the library with cozy Christmas stories with Miss Martha for children of all ages; Christmas crafts with Alyson Esposito for children and adults and The Friends of the Library Books in Gift-Giving Condition Sale. Plus, cookies and warm cider for all.
2 by 2 Barbershop Quartet Holiday Concert, Sunday Dec. 2 at 2 p.m.
The 2 by 2 Barbershop Quartet returns with all new material for their annual holiday performance. The quartet features the talents of Marcellus residents Charlie Smith on lead, Dean Ellinwood, bass, Dave Bailey, tenor and Dave Takach, baritone. Sally Bailey is the quartet’s coach and accompanist. For music lovers of all ages!
Programs for Children: Fall Story Times Sessions
Special “Giving Thanks” Story Walk at Baltimore Woods for the month of November. This November, Baltimore Woods and the Marcellus Free Library will be presenting the wonderful children’s book “Giving Thanks” written by Jonathan London as a story walk along the Backyard Wildlife and Harrison’s Loop trails behind the Interpretive Center. This story will be in place for the entire month of November, be sure to check it out when you go to Baltimore Woods for a hike.
