The new Community Library of DeWitt & Jamesville is looking for volunteers to shelve books, assist with programs, provide basic tech support to patrons, help with special projects, support their “green” initiatives and more. The library is seeking adult and teen volunteers that enjoy working with others and want to improve their community.
Volunteers are an important part of the daily operations of the library. The work volunteers do is indispensable in helping library staff present a welcoming and accommodating community space to all Jamesville-DeWitt residents and out-of-town visitors.
“Our volunteers are an essential part of the Library team. We couldn’t keep the library running smoothly without them,” said Executive Director Wendy Scott.
The library is looking for volunteers, 16 years old or older, who are dependable, detail-oriented, able to work independently and able to work at least four hours a week.
Volunteer applications are available at the library and on the website at CLDandJ.org. Applications may be emailed to Luke Connor at: [email protected] or dropped off at the information desk. For more information, please call 315-446-3578.
