During its first official meeting for the year 2013, the Skaneateles Town Board approved its annual resolution appointing certain town officers and employees, fixing wages and salaries and other matters.
The appointments changed little from last year, with Bridgett Winkelman as budget officer, Ronald A. Miller as assessor, Patrick B. Sardino as town attorney, Debbie Williams and Todd Hall as codes enforcement officers, Howard Brodsky as town planner, Thomas Adessa as town constable, Beth Batlle as town historian, Susan Murphy as the administrative aide in charge of the town parks department, Elaine Palmer as tax collector and Julie A. Stenger as deputy town clerk.
Current members of the town municipal boards and advisory committees were reaffirmed, and the town board members were designated as liaisons to specific departments.
Hours of operation for the various departments also were set for 2013, all remaining as they were for 2012. The town clerk’s hours will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, with summer hours June 28 through Aug. 30 having a Friday closing at 1 p.m. The town transfer station’s hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The board also approved salaries, wages and compensation for all town officers for the year, which all remained the same from 2012; an annual $150 stipend for safety footwear to employees in certain job categories in various departments; and a reimbursement rate of $0.50 per mile for town employees traveling in their own automobiles on official town business.
Regular meetings of the town board will be held at 7 p.m. the first and third Thursdays of each month in the town office building, except during July and August, when the board will meet only on the third Thursday of those months.
First Deputy Town Clerk Julie Stenger was authorized to execute all powers and duties of the town clerk in the absence or inability of the town clerk to serve.
The Skaneateles Press was named the official town newspaper.
M&T Bank was designated the official depository of town funds.
