Three members of the Jordan-Elbridge Board of Education are not running for re-election in May’s election.
Connie Drake, Erica O’Brien and Penny Feeney will not be running to renew their seats on the board. One man, Paul Fried, will be running for the open position.
Jordan-Elbridge voters OK’d a proposition in last year’s vote that would take the board from a nine-person board to a seven-person board. That vote eliminated two board positions starting in the 2012-13 board.
Fried is running for the one open position. Voters will decide on the next board member, as well as the district’s $27.1 million budget on May 15.
Do you have any questions for Fried or superintendent James Froio regarding the budget? Email them to Amanda Seef at [email protected] for an upcoming feature on our school boards.
