As part of its 80th year celebration, the Syracuse Garden Club will host a luncheon Monday, Oct. 24, at the Crowne Plaza Convention Center in downtown Syracuse featuring a presentation by nationally renowned gardening expert and television personality Ken Druse. Registration opens at 9:30 a.m., followed by Druse’s presentation, “Secrets of the Garden Revealed,” at 10:20 a.m. with a book signing and lunch at noon.

The Syracuse Garden Club, a non-profit charitable corporation, is one of fewer than 200 member clubs of the Garden Club of America. Proceeds from the event will be used to underwrite the club’s work in the fields of conservation, civic improvement and education. Tickets for the event are $45 each; patron tickets are $60. Seats, at tables of eight, can be reserved by sending checks payable to Syracuse Garden Club, 8506 Equestrian Ridge, Manlius, NY 13104. The deadline for reservations is Oct. 8.
