NY Assembly seeking interns

If election season has sparked an interest in politics, check out this internship opportunity through the New York State Assembly.

The Assembly is now accepting applications for 150 college students to intern from Jan. 3 through May 11, 2011. Participate in state government and the legislative process, and earn a $4,140 stipend — or $11,500 for graduate students — along the way.

Students are not required to major in political science. Undergaduates apply through their own institution, but Graduate scholar candidates must apply directly to the intern committee. Applications must be postmarked Nov. 1.

Visit assembly.state.ny.us/internship or call 518-442-3950 for more information or to download an application.
