A landmark event will be taking place this September and October in Lexington, KY and members of the Cazenovia College Equine Ambassadors club will be there to witness part of it.
The World Equestrian Games, an Olympic caliber event, will be taking place for the first time on U.S soil beginning on Sept. 25 and ending on Oct. 10. World-class competitors will be vying for the championship title in one of 8 disciplines, including show jumping, reining, dressage, eventing, endurance, driving, vaulting and para dressage.
For the past several months, Equine Ambassadors have been busy with fundraising activities to assist with the expenses of their trip.
They recently announced that a raffle for a high quality personal size tack trunk is under way. The trunk, made from a single piece of oak and crafted by Ian Cornue of Wood Works in Cazenovia, is on display at the Show Trunk, a new equestrian-focused shop in Cazenovia. Raffle tickets are being sold for $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. Stop by the show trunk to have a look at this lovely trunk that fits so nicely into the theme and decor of the Show Trunk.
The drawing for the winning ticket will be held in April.
