Pete Headd, Deputy Commissioner and Executive Director, Onondaga County Office for Aging is pleased to announce the 2017 Celebration Luncheon for Onondaga County Seniors. It will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Drumlins, 800 Nottingham Road, Syracuse, NY 13224. The program and luncheon start promptly at noon.
This event celebrates National Older Americans Month, which is every May. This year’s luncheon also honors the following Onondaga County residents:
• Senior Citizen of the Year: Clinton Woodford
• Esteemed Elder of the Year: Chuckie Holstein
• Serving Seniors Honorees of the Year: Phyllis Moore, Dunbar Center, and Betsy Ferner, Vera House
“Each year this event becomes more meaningful. Onondaga County is enriched by those who have made it their home; worked and raised families. These seniors remain integral parts of our community, helping others with their knowledge and their time. It’s our honor and privilege to share a meal with them. It’s also a lot of fun!” said Headd.
