Just one full week into the regular season, the Jamesville-DeWitt/CBA wrestling team already had earned a clean sweep of both of its neighbors.
Following a 69-9 romp over Fayetteville-Manlius on Nov. 29, J-D/CBA went to the Morrisville-Eaton Duals three days later and, on the way to a perfect 5-0 mark, defeated East Syracuse Minoa 68-18.
Tyriq Block won the 170-pound opener, getting a 21-6 technical fall over Aslan Abdulla. After a pair of forfeits, Adam Honis (220 pounds) beat Ameer Ladd 8-1.

Matt Griffin (113 pounds) and Myles Griffin (120 pounds) had quick pins of their own for J-D/CBA, Matt Griffin finishing off Alex Leo in 46 seconds and Myles Griffin requiring 40 seconds for his fall over Noah Harbinger.
That began a J-D/CBA sweep of the rest of the matches. Three were forfeits, but Aaron Gucciardi (132 pounds) got a last-second pin over Nolan Palmer as Garrett Bauer (145 pounds) and Carlos Martinez (160 pounds) earned their own third-period pins over, respectively, Casey O’Donnell and Austin West.

The closest match at M-E saw J-D/CBA defeat Walton-Delhi 43-28, and it required a comeback from a 28-18 deficit with victories in each of the last five bouts.
