On June 3, the Liverpool High School Athletic Hall of Fame’s Board of Directors honored seven new members for their contributions to LHS athletics.
For more than 50 years, Hal Henty (contributor) has helped Liverpool athletes of all ages in many different capacities. His latest endeavor has been taking professional photographs of student athletes and making the pictures available to them for free.
In the 1960s, Henty was the president of Seneca River Little League and was one of the founding fathers and president of the Liverpool Athletic Booster Club.
In the 1980s he was a member of the Liverpool Central School District Board of Education and the YMCA Board.
Henty’s photographic talents are well known as he follows all LHS sports and braves all types of weather to catch the best photographic memories for LHS student athletes (check out his talents at HalHenty.com).

Molly Brown (2003) was a four-year member of the girls field hockey team, which won four league titles, four section titles, three regional titles and was a three-time state semifinalist during that time.
She earned Second Team All League honors her freshman season and First Team All League and Most Valuable Player honors her sophomore year.
During her junior season, Brown was named team captain and earned First Team All League, First Team All-State, MVP and News Channel 5 Athlete of the Week honors. That year, Brown also was named MVP of the Empire State Games bronze medal winning field hockey team.
She remained team captain her senior season, was named to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association All-Tournament Team and received First Team All League and First Team All-State honors.
Her 22 assists during her senior year is the LHS record for most assists in one season and her career assist total (67) is a section record.
At the end of her final season, she participated in the USA Field Hockey National Tournament and was the MVP for the gold medal winning Empire State Games girls field hockey team.
Alex Caruso (2012) was a three-year starter on the LHS baseball team, winning three league titles and a Section III championship.
Caruso earned First Team All League honors all three years, Third Team All CNY honors his sophomore season and First Team All CNY honors his junior and senior seasons.
In LHS baseball history, he was second in hits, second in runs scored, second in triples, second in overall batting average (.429) and second in on-base percentage (.511).
Caruso went on to play baseball at St. John’s University, winning the league and Big East championships his junior season. He earned Second Team All Big East honors and was selected to the First Team Academic All District by CoSIDA his sophomore season.
As a junior, he was named First Team All Big East Tournament MVP, First Team All-Tournament Team, Peter P. Smith Award as team MVP, the 2015 Big East batting title champion and league MVP.
As a senior, he became the 20th member of the St. John’s “200 Hit Club” and was selected for the First Team Academic All District by CoSIDA a second time.
T.J. Tracy Davis (2008) was a three-sport athlete at LHS. He was a four-year member of the LHS outdoor track and field team and still holds the Section III record in the long jump at 24 feet and 3⁄4 inches. He placed second in the long jump at the NYSPHSSAA Championships in 2008 and earned First Team All-League honors in the long jump and high jump in 2006 and 2007.
In 2008, he earned First Team All-League honors in the long jump, high jump, and 400m, and was a three-time Section III champion.
Davis was a three-year member of the varsity boys basketball team, earning Third Team All CNY honors his sophomore season, Second Team All CNY honors during his senior season and First Team All League and Team All Star honors in 2006 and 2007.
Davis also was a member of the LHS football team, earning the Section III All Division Award and First Team All League honors in 2006 and 2007.
He was a participant in the John Arcaro Memorial Game and was awarded the Fastrac/US Army A-AA Offensive MVP award.
Hope Papworth Everts (1997) was a three-year member of the cross country team and a four-year member of both the indoor and outdoor track teams.
She was a member of 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams that excelled with 1st, 2nd & 3rd place Section III finishes in 1995, 1996 and 1997.
Everts earned First Team OHSL League honors in the 300-meter dash, 4×400, 1600 relay, 4×200 relay, 400 meter relay, and 100 high hurdles.
She excelled at SUNY Cortland with All-American honors in relay and hurdle events. Evert has continued her love for competition by sharing her track enthusiasm with her students, her fellow teachers, and the Liverpool community.
She coached modified track and varsity indoor and outdoor track for LHS.
She currently directs the district Fun Run for LCSD elementary students and is a Liverpool faculty participant in the annual JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge.
Emma Lamison (2013) was a five-year member of the field hockey team. She earned First Team All League honors all five years, Second Team All State honors in
eighth grade and First Team All State honors the remaining four seasons.
Lamison also received High School All-Regional Player honors her senior season, was named Team MVP her junior and senior seasons, earned All CNY Player of the Year honors her senior season and was named Player of the Week for News Channel 9.
Lamison also was named a Scholar Athlete all five seasons. The field hockey team won four league championships and three sectional titles while Lamison was on the team. The team also had two Final Four appearances and one State Final appearance.
Her 61 career goals and 50 assists combine for the most points in program history (172). Those 50 assists are second on the all time list and the 61 goals are second in program history.
Lamison played two years of lacrosse at Northeastern, then transferred to Syracuse University where she helped the team win its first National Championship in 2015.
At SU she was named Offensive Player of the Week, selected to the 2016 NFHCA Mideast Region Second Team and on the National Academic Squad.
Lamison also played for the U21 National USA Field Hockey Team.
The 1985 Hockey Team is the second team to be inducted into the LHS Athletic Hall of Fame.
The team won the Section III championship, the East Regional Championship and New York State Championship.
They finished the season ranked No. 1 in New York State.
The team was inducted into the New York State Hockey Hall of Fame in 2002.
