Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) is pleased to announce the promotion of Raena Pellichet from a part-time teen librarian to a full-time children’s librarian. Raena has worked for NOPL for more than four years and has been an invaluable member of our team.
She has demonstrated her innovative skills over the last four years. She has brought teen programming to a new level, incorporating hands-on learning through art and crafting programs and STEAM events. She also runs the Teen NOPL Instagram page, giving teens access to information about new reads, services, and resources. To see NOPL’s teen social page, visit @noplteen on Instagram and Facebook.
Raena will be based in the Children’s Area at NOPL’s Cicero branch, where she will continue her work as a teen librarian while helping babies, toddlers and young readers alike.
As for the former children’s librarian, Nicole Hershberger, she has also been promoted. Nicole accepted the position of branch manager at NOPL’s Cicero branch earlier this year. Nicole has been serving patrons at the Cicero branch for more than a decade. She will continue to be at the forefront of implementing practices to bolster the library’s reach, innovation, and operational success.
I hope you’ll join me in congratulating both Raena and Nicole on their outstanding contributions to this organization and community. We wish both of them the best of luck in their future positions.
