There are so many talented people in the Central New York area! Counted amongst them are the Urban Sketchers, this month’s art display at the Baldwinsville Public Library, 33 East Genesee St., Baldwinsville.
Their amazing snapshots of Syracuse and Baldwinsville are amazing. Talented with words are the writers who will be at the Eighth Annual Author Meet and Greet on Oct. 19 at noon.
Stop in and talk to our authors about their writing, their books and how they publish. Their books are diverse – something for everyone. There are children’s authors, fantasy, nonfiction, romance and mystery, just to name a few subjects. All of them will encourage you to write that memoir or fantasy story that has been in your head for years. They will have a panel discussion at 12:30 p.m. Otherwise the authors will be at their tables ready to converse (and maybe sell a book or two!).
It’s a busy weekend for the library! After our Saturday Author Meet and Greet, we will be celebrating Meg Van Patten at her retirement party on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m.
The public is welcome to stop in and congratulate Meg on her new adventure and her many years of library service in Onondaga County. Light refreshments will be on hand and presentations will be at 2 p.m.
