To the editor:
Mother Nature made her presence known once again at the annual Cazenovia Arts and Crafts Fair that was held on June 30 and July 1, providing record breaking high temperatures well into the upper 90s. With the generous help and support of Madison County Emergency Medical Services providing an air-conditioned, inflatable shelter and the always exceptional assistance of the Lorenzo staff providing air-conditioned areas and large fans where needed, the show went on.
With over 150 crafters, artists and food vendors there was a large variety of goods to satiate the needs and tastes for all of the attendees at the fair. A huge thank you goes out to all of the show participants who are the foundation of the event. The continued success of the fair can greatly be attributed to the support and effort by many people and organizations throughout our community.
Special recognition and thank you goes out to the following for their donation of prizes for CAVAC’s Annual Craft Fair raffle, which is a significant part or this fundraising effort for CAVAC: An anonymous donor for a $500 cash prize, Howard Ryan Contracting, Cazenovia Equipment, Cazenovia Community Fitness, McCarthy’s Pub, Route 20 East, Cazenovia Cut Block, Cazenovia Jewelry, The Lincklaen House and Spruce Ridge Landscape and Garden Center. Additionally, the crafters at the fair donated an item for our vendor raffle which was a huge success. We thank you for all of your generosity and support of our fundraiser.
In addition to these generous supporters, many community organizations assisted CAVAC in providing logistical support and added entertainment for the event. Cazenovia College for supplying the tables and chairs, Cazenovia Country Club for the use of their golf cards, Tops for their very generous donation of donuts and Dunkin Donuts for their very generous donation of coffee for our vendors to enjoy, Gene and Mary Smith from Hannay Farms for the always much enjoyed display of their miniature horses and Dave Novak and his accompanying musicians for their wonderful talent and performance that was enjoyed by all.
In addition, there are many others we would like to thank who’s continued support we are ever grateful for: all of the area merchants who purchase and sell raffle tickets on our behalf each year, the Lorenzo State Historic Site staff who always go abundantly above and beyond to make sure our event is a success, and all of the involved CAVAC members and their families who volunteer many hours of their time, both during the event and during the months of planning, to bring this event to reality.
The proceeds from the annual Cazenovia Arts and Crafts Fair allow CAVAC to continue on in our mission of providing emergency medical services throughout our community and surrounding areas. We gratefully thank you for your generous and continued support of CAVAC and our mission.
