To the editor:
I am Sara Bollinger and I am running for the position of councilor on the Manlius Town Board. Please vote for me on Nov. 7.
I have lived in the Town of Manlius for more than 30 years and have been active with the community. I am currently a member of the Village of Fayetteville Planning Board.
As town councilor, I will proactively seek both resident input and grant funding opportunities to make Manlius an even better place to live, work, learn and play. I support diversity, efficiency and transparency in town government. I will strive to make town opportunities and processes more accessible to residents.
I believe that we need a more future-oriented town board. I will advocate for a Comprehensive Plan that effectively positions the town to utilize economic development resources to address the needs of rural residents and farmers, enhance industrial opportunities, foster recreational and cultural participation, encourage small business and support suburban commuters.
I have a proven record of leadership, management and problem solving. I have a master’s degree from Colgate University and have served as executive director for four different agencies in Central New York. I am currently a management consultant. This role provides the schedule flexibility needed to serve effectively as your town councilor.
Residents of the Town of Manlius have a choice this year. To learn more, please go to BollingerforManlius on Facebook.
