To the editor:
On Sept. 10, the Southern Hills Posse Motorcycle Club came together once again for their fourth annual golf tournament to benefit Clear Path for Veterans. This year’s golf tournament was held at Casolwood Golf Course in Canastota. Since our motorcycle club has begun it has been our goal to give back to our community. We find it important to give back locally and what better place to do so than through Clear Path for Veterans. Clear Path has a mission “to help empower service members, veterans and their families through supportive programs and service” which we have come to support by holding our annual poker run and golf tournament.
With the generosity of local businesses and personal donations we were able to raise $6500 to help local veterans. This amazing success would not have been attainable without the help of the following businesses: Casolwood Golf Course,
Voss Signs, Knoxies Pub, Victory 4 Vets, New Dimensions, Schepp Family Funeral Home, All Car Care, Manlius Family Barber, CNT ATM, The Wild Animal Park, Torchwood Wine & Spirits, Village Auto Service, Sno Top, Jake Hafner’s Restaurant, T.H. Kinsella Inc., Edinger Trucking Co., JPW Riggers & Erectors Inc., Ironwood, R.G. Hence & Son Garage Inc., Diamond Landscaping, Par K Enterprise, Hullars Restaurant, Orange Crate, Cork Monkey Wine and Spirits, Seneca Street Brew Pub, Nice & Easy, Limp Lizard Bar & Grill, Marcellus Golf Club, Camillus Country Club, Kanon Valley Country Club, Cedar Lake Golf Club, Highland Park Golf Club, Sharkey’s Sports Bar, Delmonicos Italian Steakhouse, Hot Stuff BBQ, Source One, and T.H. Property Services.
As Veterans Day approaches we would like to give a special thanks to the veterans who have protected us over the years. As we can see from the generosity of the above mentioned, this community is honored to contribute what we can.
