BALDWINSVILLE — Next month, the Baldwinsville Public Library will display pandemic memorabilia, writing, crafts and artwork from the community to show how we survived and thrived during this unprecedented event. We will accept any item that reminds you of your resilience, your creative energy, and new skills.
Our COVID Memories display will be open to the public in October 2021, the library’s 25+1 anniversary of the new building. We will also have a timeline of library happenings during the pandemic.
You can also contribute something about your online experience like the book clubs, sewing and knitting, crafts, and Dungeons and Dragons that have moved to virtual meet-ups to stay in contact. What was your first virtual experience like? Did you learn a new skill at a virtual meeting?
Did you start writing, crafting, or painting? Did you find out you could draw humorous cartoons or pen exquisite haiku? You can submit anything that has become a part of your life since the pandemic began. Whether you are a nurse on the front lines or a stay-at-home parent with small children, a senior citizen living alone or working virtually from your basement, we want to hear from you!
Pick up a COVID Memories form in the library or download one on the BPL website (bville.lib.ny.us) to attach to your work so we have your information. Drop off your items at the library or email your digital work.
If you have any questions or submissions, contact [email protected] or call 315-635-5631.
