Beginning the week of Sept. 20, Baldwinsville Public Library will extend business hours. The new hours will be:
- Sundays: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Mondays: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Tuesdays through Thursdays: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Fridays: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Please note that on Sunday, Sept. 20, the library will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. to accommodate the already planned book sale. You didn’t know we’re having a book sale? Well, read on!
BPL will hold a two-day Bag Sale Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20. With generous volunteer help from the Friends of Baldwinsville Public Library and the Rotary Club of Baldwinsville, we’ll be selling $5 bags of books on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. After the weekend, bags may be purchased at the Circulation Desk.
For this sale, bags have been pre-filled with books by genre, topic, or by a particular author. Genres include mysteries, romance, and thrillers. Topics include cooking, travel, religion, and history. If you need books for kids, we’ll have bags of those too! There are also bags of DVDs and audiobooks for all ages. For a list of all offerings, you can go to our website (bville.lib.ny.us) or pick up a flier at the library.
This is a “blind purchase,” but that’s what makes it fun — you never know what you’ll get! All sales are final; purchases may not be returned to the library. Please note that the library is not currently accepting any donations.
The bag sale will be held in the library’s Community Room. We ask that everyone enter the sale through the library’s parking lot entrance, wear a mask and practice proper social distancing. We look forward to seeing you at the sale.
The Baldwinsville Public Library is located at 33 E. Genesee St. in the village of Baldwinsville. For more information, visit bville.lib.ny.us or call 315-635-5631.
