Is there a librarian who has made a difference in your life or made an impact on your community? Now is your chance to honor their contributions by nominating them for the national l Love My Librarian Award.
The I Love My Librarian Award invites library users across the country to recognize their favorite librarians working in public, school, college, community college, or university libraries for transforming lives and improving communities. Nominations are being accepted online now through Oct. 21, 2019.
Ten librarians will be selected to win $5,000, a plaque, and a travel stipend to attend the I Love My Librarian Award ceremony on Jan. 25, 2020 in Philadelphia.
Give your nomination the best possible chance of being considered by thinking about the following questions in advance:
In what ways does the nominee go above and beyond in their role as a librarian?
How does the nominee make their community a better place?
How has the nominee improved your life or the lives of others in your community?
What makes the nominee a leader in their community?
