On Saturday, Jan. 20, 15 chess players ranging in age and skill level competed in Baldwinsville Public Library’s first chess tournament.
Led by Tournament Master Jason Pauldine and BPL Chess Club Leader Nick Peluso, the tournament began at 10 a.m. and ran throughout the day. Trophies were given out at an awards ceremony and all agreed that it was so much fun, BPL should host another tournament soon.
Hence, the next chess tournament will be on Saturday, March 24, beginning at 10 a.m. We encourage all local chess players to participate.
